GPS Tracking

I’ve added a new feature for personal use, and it’s one that I’m able to share: GPS Tracking.

For people who may not wish to share their location with Google or who don’t want to spend on an InReach or equivalent GPS, you can use my private, self hosted GPS.

How to:

First register an account at gps.lostontrail.com and login.

Then install the Traccar app on your device.

Get Traccar

Place the server settings on your traccar app as follows:

https://gps.lostontrail.com:5055

Next, find the device ID in your app.

Then, log into your account at gps.lostontrail.com, and copy and save the device ID to the appropriate setting.

You can now use the app on your device to push updates to the server. You can create groups to share access with friends and family who may wish to follow you on your journey.
